Below are all the pictures gathered showing the opening of the Zipit and close up shots of its board. During the process, some information was gathered including general layout of the board and chip identification. It seems most who have purchased a Zipit 2 have received one that has corrections (yellow wires) made to its motherboard. However, a newer board does exist without the corrections.

Below is a photo taken of the back (or is it really the top?) of the Zipit’s board.

Here is a shot of the new board with the serial hookup wires soldered to the board. As you can see, there are no corrections on the board.
